The company was federally incorporated in Canada in October 2010. Launched Taste&TravelMagazine an internationally distributed consumer magazine with a focus on culinary travel, in March 2011. Developed internship schemes with Carleton University, Ottawa and University of Adelaide, South Australia to provide publishing opportunities for new journalists. Management of the Consular Section, responsible for assistance to British nationals in Singapore. Line management of two consular officers. Leite’s Culinaria, 2006–2010

On a consultancy basis provided background research for Leite’s Culinaria, winner of the James Beard Award for Best Food and Drink Website in 2006 and 2007.
Research for David Leite’s book “The New Portuguese Table” (Clarkson Potter, 2009) and recipe testing.
Producer of David Leite’s “Talking With Your Mouth Full” and “Eating Our Words” a nationwide series of events featuring prominent food writers reading their works followed by a dinner with a menu inspired by the readings, created by leading American chefs.
United Nations University, 2000–2002
Publications Officer and Head, United Nations University Press
Directed the operations of the United Nations University Press. Planned and executed the overall publishing policy of the UNU Press and determined the character, scope and modalities of the University’s publications program.
Responsibilities included manuscript acquisition and review; title budgeting and promotional planning; supervision of editing, design, composition, and printing processes; monitoring of outsourcing procedures and vendor relations; implementation of marketing, sales, and distribution strategies; negotiation of co-publishing and translation agreements.
Developed an annual publishing plan and biennial budget for both sale and non-sale publications.
Worked closely with program officers and researchers in determining the appropriate formats and intended target audiences for their research output.
Supervised full-time editorial, production and sales staff, as well as a varying number of freelance designers, copy-editors and indexers; administered operational budget (excluding salaries and overhead) of c. US$1 million.

Managing Editor, UNU Press
Supervised production of all UNU Press titles (c. 20 books per year).
Reviewed manuscripts and recommended acquisitions. Prepared production schedules and ensured on-time execution of all aspects of the editorial and publishing processes. Liaised with authors and served as desk editor, responding to queries from copy editors, authors and editors.
Coordinated publishing activities taking place concurrently in the UK, Hong Kong, Japan and United States.
Managed a staff of 15 freelance copy editors and indexers.
Indo Multi Media, 1993–1996
Chief Editor
Managed the publishing division of PT Indo Multi Media, an English language publishing house serving government and private sectors, with emphasis on tourism, business, and lifestyle magazines, annual reports and other corporate communication materials.
Undertook planning, budget and quality control and production of all printed materials, including four monthly tourism tabloids, six bi-monthly magazines, three monthly newsletters plus a series of seven maps and twelve destination booklets.
Acquired new accounts, liaised with clients, negotiated commercial publishing agreements.
Responsible for all aspects of quality control and on-time fulfillment of contractual agreements.
